In house Activities: In the first half of this year we have had a wide range of activities happening in house at woodlarks from performers putting on a show to having farm animals visit. Currently our biggest ongoing project is our clay totem pole that we started back in early May. We are working with

Bird World

On the 30th of July we took a group of our residents to birdworld for the day. The day was full of sunshine and the residents got the chance to see and learn about a variety of different species of Birds and some farm animals. For lunch the residents enjoyed a picnic made by our

Boat Trip

Today we took our residents  on a boat trip down a river canal. The trip lasted most of the day with residents getting to see new sights and spend the day looking at the British countryside as the boat slowly took them for a cruise down the river. One of the residents had let me

Cycling Trip

Our activity centre had organised a cycling trip for one of our residents after seeing that he has an interest for bikes and would often partake in cycling during his physio sessions. The activities manager had decided to take a couple additional residents which had also expresses to do more physical activities outside of physio

Fundraising

Once again we participated in the annual Farnham Duck race at gostery Meadows. This year we held a tombola and brought a group of residents down to gostery meadows to check out some of the stalls. One of our residents even got the chance to throw some of the ducks into the river becoming an

Country walks

We have continued to take residents on walks around our surrounding area throughout June by taking residents out in smaller groups. By doing these small trips out we can make sure each residents gets a chance to have some time enjoying activities outside of woodlarks. Recently we have gone to areas such as Frensham ponds

Starting our Totem Pole project.

Today we have officially started our newest project  making a totem pole out of clay. We decided on doing a Woodland theme having various different animals like badgers, squirrels and birds with trees and fruits around them. Beginning of May activities

In the first few weeks of May we have been lucky to have lovely weather with days full of sunshine and warm weather. We have been trying to more activities outside such as gardening and nature walks around the campsite next door. During this time residents have also been participating in doing some baking. They

Miller Ark

Today we had Millers ark come to Woodlarks with various farm animals such as pigs, sheep and goats. Many of our residents love animals and as it is the beginning of spring it is the perfect time for them to come to Woodlarks. This year the staff member from millers ark took the lambs and

Wisley Gardens

Today we took a small group of our residents out to Wisley gardens. We asked amongst the residents who would like to go and one of our volunteer drivers were available so that we could take one of our bigger buses. The flowers were starting to bloom and we got a full day of sunshine
